The Therapy Lounge is a warm and welcoming space where individuals, couples, and families can seek support, clarity, and meaningful change. My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and evidence-based, with a strong focus on creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences and working toward their goals.
I specialise in relationship therapy, individual therapy for adults and youth, and family therapy. I am committed to helping each client find solutions that align with their unique needs and values.
I understand that life can be challenging, overwhelming, and at times uncertain.
As a qualified Social Worker, I am passionate about supporting people through difficult stages of life with empathy, respect, and practical guidance.
My professional experience includes education, domestic and family violence, child safety, anxiety, depression, and general counselling. Alongside my training, my life experience allows me to bring genuine insight, compassion, and understanding to the therapeutic space.
At The Therapy Lounge, I recognise that every individual and family is unique. I strive to create a place where you feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgment.

Services Offered
Welcome to The Therapy Lounge, unique therapy services for you to explore. As a social worker, I draw my work from an eclectic framework that includes Strengths Based, Holistic, Person Centred and Narrative Approaches with an empathic outlook and engagement. I work alongside my clients through their own individual journey.

Relationship Therapy
My Relationship Therapy service is designed to help couples strengthen communication, deepen emotional understanding, and work through conflict in healthy, constructive ways. Together, we create a safe and supportive space where both partners feel heard, respected, and understood.
With professional guidance, couples learn to identify patterns that may be creating distance or tension, while building on the strengths that already exist within the relationship. The goal is to foster a stronger, more meaningful, and supportive partnership.
In my work with couples, I draw on evidence-based approaches including the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). These approaches allow us to:

We delve into how each partner gives and receives love, how they respond to stress or conflict, and how their attachment dynamics may be impacting the relationship. By increasing awareness and learning new relational skills, couples can move from reactive cycles toward connection and teamwork.
Relationship therapy is not about assigning blame — it is about understanding each other more deeply, repairing emotional injuries, and building a secure and resilient bond.
Individual Adult Therapy
At my practice, I provide individual therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each person. I specialise in supporting individuals to gain deeper insight into their emotions, thoughts, and behavioural patterns, while developing healthier coping strategies and a stronger sense of self-understanding.
Together, we explore areas such as attachment styles, and how early relational experiences may influence current relationships and emotional responses. We work on strengthening communication skills, establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries, and prioritising self-care practices that support overall wellbeing.
Individual therapy can also address a range of general mental health concerns, including anxiety, stress, low mood, self-esteem challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. Through a collaborative and supportive process, you will gain practical tools and greater self-awareness to navigate life with more confidence and emotional balance.
Therapy is a space for reflection, growth, and meaningful change — helping you build healthier relationships with both yourself and others.
Individual Youth Therapy
At my practice, I provide individual therapy sessions tailored to the unique needs of each young person.
The Therapy Lounge emphasises a collaborative approach, working alongside young people to set meaningful goals that reflect what matters most to them. Therapy is a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space where young people can feel heard, understood, and accepted.
The focus is on helping young people better understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviours, while building practical coping skills and strengthening overall wellbeing.
We may work on areas such as:

Family Therapy
Family therapy can help bring individuals and families closer together by fostering healthier, more supportive relationships. In our work together, I create a safe and respectful space where each family member has the opportunity to be heard and understood.
We explore each person’s individual history, experiences, and beliefs to better understand how these influence family dynamics. Together, we identify communication patterns, establish healthy boundaries, and develop constructive conflict resolution strategies to strengthen the family unit.
Sessions focus on addressing current challenges while promoting positive thinking, emotional regulation, and healthier behaviours. I support families in learning how to “reframe” reactions, shift unhelpful patterns, and respond to one another with greater empathy and understanding.
Through this collaborative process, families gain practical tools to navigate life’s obstacles, improve connection, and build a more resilient and harmonious home environment.
Telehealth Therapy
My Telehealth service provides a secure, convenient, and accessible way to receive therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Using secure video conferencing technology, I offer a confidential and professional environment where you can explore your concerns and receive the support you need.
Telehealth is available for individual therapy, relationship counselling, youth therapy, and family therapy, allowing you to access support in a way that suits your lifestyle and circumstances.
This option offers flexibility for those with busy schedules, mobility challenges, or limited access to in-person services. It enables you to engage in therapy in a setting where you feel comfortable, while maintaining the same level of care, professionalism, and therapeutic support as in-person sessions.
Online therapy is a practical and effective way to prioritise your mental health while staying connected to the support you need.


My teenage daughter started seeing Aimee at The Therapy Lounge and is looking forward to her next visit. Aimee was warm and welcoming and had all the time in the world for my child.
